Built on a foundation of compassion, guided by purpose, and driven by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
The Bhindi family's commitment to philanthropy began in the 1950s in Fiji with its founder, Karsanji Bhindi. From an early age, Karsanji was instilled with a deep sense of responsibility to his community and a lifelong belief that success carries with it an obligation and responsibility to give back.
While dedicating countless hours and energy to building his newly established jewelry business, Karsanji also pursued land development in Fiji with a vision of strengthening the communities around him. His entrepreneurial efforts were always guided by a desire to create opportunities and improve the quality of life for others.
In 1958, Karsanji demonstrated this commitment in a profound way by contributing 17 acres of land for the construction of a school and neighborhood park, providing educational opportunities and shared community space for generations to come. This act of generosity reflected a philosophy that has remained central to the Bhindi family for decades: that meaningful success is measured not only by what one builds, but by what one gives back.
Today, that spirit of service continues to guide the Bhindi family. Through the establishment of the Bhindi Foundation, ongoing philanthropic initiatives and community partnerships, the family remains dedicated to supporting education, strengthening communities, and creating lasting impact for future generations.
These principles guide every decision we make and every partnership we form.
Empathy drives our work. We listen, understand, and respond to the real needs of the communities we serve.
We invest in people and programs so individuals can build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
We favor long-term partnerships over one-time grants, creating sustainable change that endures across generations.
We support our partners with purpose and intention, always honoring the dignity of the individuals and communities we serve.
Whether through partnership, collaboration, or support, there are many ways to be part of our mission to create lasting change.
